aviation experience I decided that the slower, relaxing sailing
environment was more my scene. The parallels of navigating and the

Sailing should be fun - it
should also be safe and challenging. I take great pride in the
courses that I run. During the instruction, which I care greatly
about, I also try to challenge the skills of my students, allowing
them to try new ideas as well as developing their own knowledge and
abilities. A one-off request came from one of my day skipper
students to find a luxury yacht to take his family on holiday. I

I founded Clyde Yachts.
After a day of sailing,
what I love most is to slip into one of the many hotels and pubs
on the Clyde for an excellent meal - and perhaps a pint of the local
beer (if there is a piano I can be coaxed to play - maybe!) I
am always greeted with a welcome which makes me proud to be part of
the west of Scotland sailing scene.
For those of you who
charter from me I can advise what I believe to be the best
anchorages, moorings, harbours and marinas, then once you have tied
up, where to eat or drink to finish off your day ".
